Players to watch for upcoming NFL Draft

Avoid Manti Te’o no matter what. The reason to avoid is not just because of the negative attention he brings to your team. I could care less about some scandal that wasn’t really even a scandal. My problem with Manti Te’o is his sudden explosion Senior year. I’ll admit Manti had a wonderful Senior year at Norte Dame. However, before this year no one knew who Manti was let alone having him as an elite college football player. This guy has one remarkable season should that land you a spot in the Nfl. I say it shouldn’t Manti did not prow himself enough in college to be a high pick and he bring negative attention. Plus Manti is not physical freak by any means and does not prove to be that athletic. Manti was also shut down against Alabama in the National Championship. That’s the closest to a pro team Manti faced and he was owned another sign of why teams should not take him.

Gamble on Geno Smith. He is a large quarterback with a cannon. However, Geno doesn’t just fling the ball he is very accurate he didn’t throw a single interception for weeks. Geno also has good athletic ability being able to move around the pocket avoiding hits and can gain a few yards on the ground. So why is Geno Smith a gamble then if he has all these great abilities. Well as the college season went on Geno began to struggle. If someone can’t finish out a season they can’t win a championship. It doesn’t matter how many touchdowns you score if it doesn’t equal a Super Bowl. I feel these things can be fixed and Geno would be a great addition to most teams.

The must take player in my mind in this years draft is Eddie Lacy. Now I do not even think he was the best back on his team this year but he is the best back in the draft. He is a big man that can run over people and once he is in the clear he takes off. There are very few down sides to get a large reliable work horse. He is the best pick for his value. He can block, he can run inside or outside, and he can catch.

I agree with Teo, Smith, and Lacy. I think the ESPN guys have Geno Smith ranked waaaayyyy too high.
