Playoff Picks for Wild Card Weekend

Playoff Picks for Wild Card Weekend

Jan 8, 2011

Michael Vick...the biggest wildcard of them all?

The Guru has been in hibernation for a while, but with the NFL playoffs back it’s time for him to share his knowledge and spread the wealth.

Saints(-11) vs Seahawks-  This game is not going to be  easy to predict as others think.  For starters the Saints are going to be a one dimensional team due to Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory being out on IR.  The Saints have also had some issues stopping the run this year, and if Seattle can get the running game established early the Saints may be in for a ball game.  I think the Saints pull away in this one 24-7 late in the game, but with the back end cover Seattle covers 24-14.

Jets vs Colts(-3)-  This game may be the blow out of the weekend.   I think the Jets go to Indy and bully them around.  Here is the stat of the day…..The Colts last 5 games that they have been out rushed by opponents they’re 1-5.  And Folks, the games aren’t even close.  The Jets can run the ball, and they will certainly be able to stop the ground attack of Indianapolis.

Ravens(-3) vs Chiefs-  The Chiefs have only played one team with a winning record in their last 10 games….how is that possible?  Oh, and that one team was San Diego and they lost 31-0.  The Raven’s are a very balanced team on offense which is a great recipe for playoff success.  However, sometimes you just got to go on a hunch, and I think K.C with the home field advantage is able to pull this game out of it’s ass and pick up the win.  Chiefs 17-13.

Packers vs Eagles(-2)  Out of all of the games this weekend I think this game is the most unpredictable.  I wouldn’t be surprised if either team wins by 3, or wins by 30.  This is what I do know.  Andy Reid is the mack daddy in wild card weekend, with a record of 9-1.  2nd  People are putting to much emphasis on Philly’s last two games versus the Vikings and Cowboys.   Do you really think Andy Reid has not found out a way to beat the corner blitz?   Based on what I have given ya, I say take the Eagles -2, and buckle up your seatbelt because this is going to be a high scoring affair.
