Still at the .500 mark for the season in college against the spread
Week 8 College Football Picks against the spread
Notre Dame vs. Navy+6. This is usually a very close game throughout the years. Navy in a way owns the fighting Irish winning 2 out of the last 3. However, I like Irish this week who will win their 4th game in a row in blow out fashion.
Maryland vs. Boston College+4. Maryland gets their first win of the season on the road this week against B.C. This game may be over early, the Terps have to much fire power for the Eagles.
Uconn vs. Louisville-3. Must win game for the Huskies this week. Louisville hasn’t impressed me all year and I think the Huskies are just a much better team, plus they’re getting points.
Auburn vs. LSU+5.5. LSU has won five out of the last 7 meetings. The 2 games Auburn won, was by a total of 5 points. Both teams are undefeated, but I like LSU in this game, especially getting 5.5
Wisconsin at Iowa-6. Wisconsin is coming off a huge week against Ohio State. To bad they play Iowa this week who makes no mistake, and can stop Wisconsin’s running attack. Take Iowa laying the 6.
Alabama vs. Tennessee +16.5. Tennessee maybe the worst team in the SEC this year, which is hard to say as a Vols fan. Alabama in order to get back into talks of the BCS championship game, need to absolutely start punishing teams. They will this week against Tennessee.
North Carolina vs. Miami-6. After a slow start to the season, the Tar Heels have covered and won their last 4 games. I think this will be a close game, giving the edge to North Carolina who has the better quarterback in T.J Yates. Yates has 11 touchdowns and one interception this year, he just doesn’t make many mistakes. Plus Carolina is getting 6.
Oklahoma vs. Missouri+3. To be honest I have no idea why the spread in this game is only 3. Maybe the odds makers believe that the number one team in the land will get picked off again this week. Not me. Even though Missouri hasn’t lost a game this year, they still haven’t played a team that plays competitive football. Take the Sooners, as this game may be over Sooner than later.
NFL
15-12 winning 55% of the game against the spread this year. Looking to move over the 60% mark on the year 5 winners this week.
Browns vs. Saints -13. It seems that the entire Browns team is banged up this week. Especially after 2 players left last weeks game with concussions. Saints at home, should blow out the Browns this week.
49ers vs. Panthers +3. 49ers have to go back east which is a concern for me, but that’s about the only one. The Panthers have been playing so poor this year, and the 49ers still believe they have a shot in the playoffs playing in the weakest division in football. It will be a close game, but the 49ers will make some separation late in the game winning 17-10
New England vs. Chargers-3. New England played a tough, physical game last week against the Ravens. Now the Patriots have to go west, and play a desperate Chargers team. The Patriots have a hard time stopping the run, which the Bolts can do well. Take the Chargers laying the points.
Raiders vs. Broncos -7. Favorite beat of the week. I think the Broncos are a very good team that only has 2 wins. I think they absolutely lay the smack down on the Raaaiiders this week. Broncos win 31-10
Vikings vs. Packers -3. Packers have a huge loss with TE Finely out for the season. They also have no running game, which allows the Vikings defense to key in on the Packers WR Jennings and Driver. Expect Favre to have his biggest game of the season, going back to Green Bay where the BOO’s will be loud and clear.
